Hi! I am Cindy Tesreau owner of Bunny Designs and Gifts. I joined the Blossom and Grow Blog Hop to let people know who I am and what I do, but also because I love a project and a timeline! You can find me at @bunnydesignquilts or my website http://www.bunnydesigns.org I am a retired elementary principal and I always worked best under a timeline! Also, Maureen's Blossom and Grow fabric by @studio_E_fabrics caught my attention when Maureen first starting putting out information on her new fabric line on instagram @Maureenmaker. I loved the colors and I loved that it had some rabbits in it! This fabric is very versatile and can be used for babies on up to beautiful pillows, quilts, or runners for your living area!
The project that I decided to do was based on my love of quilts and rabbits. My Grandmother would keep me at her house when my mother was working and she was always working on a project and I loved watching how she created something beautiful out of fabric! She taught me to sew, to embroider, to quilt and to love fabrics! That starting point with my Grandmother has lead me to be creative and sew for most of my life. It is one of the most relaxing things I do and it never fails to bring me joy when I finish a project or a gift for a special person!

The quilt I chose for this blog hop is versatile and helps to showcase all the different fabrics of this line. I also made a patchwork rabbit because.....well just because! I had lots of fun putting this together and will share all the information about the patterns and tools that I used to help me make these items.
The pattern for this quilt came from a book called, Simplify with Camille Roskelley and the pattern is called "Little Man". Camille Roskelley's Instagram page is @thimbleblossoms and her site is https://www.thimbleblossoms.com This book is sold out on her website, but if you are interested in this book, which has lots and lots of great patterns you can buy it on Amazon. I changed the pattern up in a few places to help incorporate all the fat quarters I was given, which helped me to showcase the beautiful Blossom and Grow fabric! I think it turned out great! This pattern is very easy and could be put together completely in about a day for a really experienced quilter! I did not have the exact amount of fabric that it called for, so I improvised by sewing some of the fat quarters together and adding some white fabric to complete the blocks.

The first thing I had to do was to cut all the fabric and put it in order. I used these really fun alphabet jumbo clips from SeamsSewMe @seams_sew_me to keep my pieces in order! Then I started sewing!!! This pattern was really easy to sew and I only had to tweak it when I used fat quarters instead of yardage.

There were two tools I used that I purchased after seeing them on instagram. The first tool I used was the Creative Grids Folded Corner Clipper by Susan Nelson! @creativegrids - Youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKdWVTksvq4
This tool has many uses, but I used the 45 degree angle to cut my binding from all the different leftover material I had. This tool takes away the need to draw pencil lines and you can go alot faster with the sewing process!
The second tool I used was the Quilt Binding Ruler Designed by Jenae Alves @vintagestitch_by_jenae. I used this tool to join the ends of my binding together which has always been a problem for me! This tool gives me perfect results every time!
On to the quilt! The rest of the process was pretty easy, just putting it all together and quilting it. The fabric is so beautiful and easy to work with! I added some blue backing to complete the quilt and the binding was pieces of some of the leftover fabric put together. Here are a couple of pictures and video of that process!
I named this quilt "Little Girl" and it was fun to make!
I also had to add some bunnies! I used an easy pattern called Bunnies Know Best by Rebecca Kuck and her Etsy shop is called Golden Thimble. You can purchase this pattern at www.etsy.com/listing/20303921/bunnies-know-best to make these cute bunnies! I used scraps from the material I had left and just sewed them together making a patchwork look. I put the pattern of the bunny on top of the patchwork fabric and also the backing fabric and cut both out at the same time (make sure that you put them front facing), sewed it together and filled it up! I then added a tie around the neck and some jewelry for mom as well as for the baby bunny! Fun project and very easy!!!

I love the way you sewed the fat quarters together in order to best use them. Lovely quilt. Diane dmmartin903
These fabrics are darling and the quilt is beautifu. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for inviting me Maureen! This was a lot of fun and helps me to stretch myself and get out there with my quilting! The quilt binding ruler was so helpful for me!
Beautiful fabric & love the quilt! Isn't it fun to use up all the extra fabric? Those bunnies are hippity sweet!
I love this quilt. I'm so torn on which pattern to make that also uses all the beautiful fabrics.. So many choices, not enough fabric😊
